I was pretty lazy today. I did work on the circles painting some more. I think I am close. I know there are a few places I want to put another two or three circles, but I have to wait

There’s a new electric cutting machine called The CutNScan. Mine arrived yesterday so I’ve had a little play today. I’ve made 2 stencils and trial cut them on thick paper. (I will try and cut using grafix .007 or acetate

Day 9 – Teeny graphed tubes

I have some beading friends who do amazingly complex graphed beadweaving. I am the freeform queen, so patterns are…a challenge. Nonetheless, I’ve had some ideas bouncing around in my head for designs incorporating graphed tubes. The first challenge was making

TAD Day 9: String art heart

This took me back to my days of summer camp and Vacation Bible School.  I used cork instead of wood because as you can see, getting nails hammered in straight is not one of my stronger skills.  Inspiration here: http://boxycolonial.com/string-art-heart-ornament-last-second-christmas-post/

Thing a Day 9

Prince Humperduck finds evidence of a duel on top of the cliff. Count Rugen: Who won? How did it end? Humperduck: The loser ran off alone. But the winner followed those footprints toward Guilder. They follow the footprints in pursuit

Day 8: Playing with Yarn

As a part of this month’s efforts to clear out some of the project backlog, I decided to use up some of the yarn I have stashed. I had seen a Lion Brand Newsletter about Arm Knitting a few days

Day Seven: “An Experiment in Stars”

And that’s exactly what it was…some versions of “winging it” and some origami puffy stars from this tutorial:  http://m.wikihow.com/Make-a-Puffy-Origami-Star Not necessarily failures, but a good start with loads of room for improvement.  And that’s good enough for today.

I took a class today on broom making.  We were able to make 2, a cobweb broom which is longer and the ends are not trimmed, and a hearth broom.   The cats were a little too interested in the brooms
