Exploring some scroll work concepts  in  a lamp I want to make. Now I know how not to do it.

Getting messy Day 19

Got my large gelli plate out and made some background papers for putting in the Allotment journal. The prints are larger than the journal size so I can cut em up/collage etc as well. Most are double sided.

Thing-a-Day 18: Poorly-Executed Origami Swan

I didn’t have much time for this one and as you can see I had to follow an on-line tutorial. I’m getting behind with my posts this year – must try harder.

Thing a Day 19

Inigo: I am waiting for you, Vizzini! You told me to go back to the beginning! So I have. This is where I am and this is where I’ll stay. I will not be moved! Brute: Ho there! Inigo: I

Day 18: Book Continues

So, I am starting to think that I might be the queen of biting off more than I can chew. I continued working on the art book that I started yesterday, and, at this point, I have to say, it

Thing A Day: Day 18 Phase 1 Plywood Box

No photos at the moment.  Blueprints coming along.  Inner plywood box taking shape.  Tomorrow I should be done with that and then will move to the copper sheeting that will cover the plywood.

Day 18 – Titan

Titan isn’t always the best subject for photos. He makes for a fidgety (and sometimes too inquisitive) model. But today he did pretty good. He sat fairly still for quite a few shots. Check out my other photographs these places:

Day Eighteen: “New Upgrade to an Old Project”

Last fall, I made my mom a sign for a window she was designing for an antique mall.  I guess you could call it a “commission”, though I loved doing it for her, and it made her really happy.

TAD 2014 – Day 18

I added some more circles to the newest painting. Then I took it into Illustrator and added some smaller circles as an experiment. I’m trying to decide if I want to change this one up and add some smaller ones

I finished bjcobb’s scarf homage. Here it is partially done and here it is all finished (okay, a few spots are still wet), bjcobb’s original piece and a few detail shots of mine.    I also took a picture of

Day 17 & 18: American Girl Quilt

I made two quilts for my daughter’s doll’s bunk beds (which my mom bought for me when I was 2 weeks old!) She picked out the fabric for me and begged endlessly… Then I sewed a mattress together for her

Lots of wine means lots of corks… decided to put some of them to use.
