I used margarine on this batch of cookies, which helped the middles melt and spread faster, but I’m still having troubles with the outsides becoming crusty too fast, that’s why there’s so many cracks in these. I may try microwaving

TAD 2014 – Day 24 & 25

Day 25 – Drawing with the Kids
The legs are weird. Sometimes my mind gets jumbled and I find I have a hard time drawing things I didn’t really have much difficulty with after practice drawing from the mind, suddenly come out strange, or hard to draw.

Modified this tutorial: http://www.polkadotchair.com/2012/09/on-the-go-reading-pillow-tutorial.html/ such that the back is an envelope pillow cover, not tie, in matching red-heart fabric. Probably a bit too big for my 7 year olds chapter books… and is missing something on the big, glaring purple

Was aiming for a Valentine’s Wreath by using red fabric… but the plaid doesn’t quite cut it. Plus I goofed and started cutting the strips shorter and shorter; resulting in a nice lopsided wreath. Have to debate what it’s future

My little one is special needs and has developed the clever habit of biting her thumb when frustrated… to the point that we discovered a tooth-sized-hole in her thumb nail. Finally made something washable to protect the thumb… drilled holes

Tied a bunch of tulle onto a stretch thing to make a toddler tutu for my niece.

Cut up some old t-shirts and braided them again and again and again for our avid chewer. (This is his third one; destroyed the first two).

REALLY hard to post when your camera battery dies and you lose your charger… That said, got scraps in Mardi Gras colors and tied them around a loop to make this wreath for our kitchen window.
