Made homemade felafels for dinner tonight. February went by so quickly! I can’t believe it’s the last day! It’s been great sharing this creative adventure with all of you!! Advertisements
Busy today. Just got home. Directly from work straight to a fundraiser. Looks like my husband has possession of the camera. So my “thing” I had in mind is not happening! Maybe tomorrow. I just want to say that today’s
I don’t really know what this is……a strange dolphin wearing lipstick and sunglasses. How would sunglasses even stay on a dolphin’s head? And do they have lips? Ok, beaks — so this dolphin is wearing beakstick I suppose. Ha ha!
I’ve been meaning to make this ratatouille all week! Tonight it actually happened! This means dinner will be all ready to go tomorrow night. Hooray!
Passed by these mossy sycamores on my walk to breakfast this morning. So many cool shades of green!
Went to “Oh Snap” opening exhibit at the Carnegie Museum of Art tonight after work. Made this light graffiti image there. Was a great time!
Was exhausted last night — didn’t get to post. Made this little doodle tonight while hankering for a cupcake. Totally in the mood for something sweet — time to forage in the cupboards!
While walking home I found these nifty glowing boxes in the window of a gallery near my apartment. It was actually slightly light outside when I left!
Went downtown today to see the Oscar nominated short films. Really excellent — I highly recommend if you get a chance to see them! Anyway, there’s this huge mural downtown by the theater that I’ve always wanted to take a
Sick today. I never even got out of my pjs today. Got motivated enough to make a pizza however — I wanted something other than soup!
Photos taken throughout the day: 7:15am out my kitchen windwo, 5:53 pm walking to my car from work, 10:29 pm outside in my backyard. A great blue gray sky today.……
I left the office tonight to find the 14 year old girlfriend of my co-worker’s son hanging around outside our office building. She was holding a fancy box of chocolates with a carnation taped to the top and was upset
I can’t believe it’s day 12 already! The time is flying by! Actually cranked this valentine for my husband: posting before he gets home from work. whew! I’m hoping to have some more free time to check out everyone’s posts.
Decided to exercise tonight so I have a little less time to “do my thing”. Does making a muscle count? Ha ha! Anyway, snapped a picture of my cat Sophie and played around with some photoshop filters again. So here
Snapped the original photo on my walk home. A metal lamp with bird shapes cut out to let the light shine through. Played around with some photoshop filters (something I usually don’t get to do too much). Liking the abstraction.
A little pooped today, just started doodling with some micron pens and a sharpie. This is what ended up happening. Kind of nice to just go with the flow and see what comes out. Enjoy!
Its been lightly flurrying here in Pittsburgh all day. I took a walk in the Allegheny cemetery. Took this shot of a detail on a doorway. Liking the stained glass reflection that’s showing through in the background. It was so
Day 29……the last day……its always so bittersweet! It has been so inspiring to share this creative space with all of you! I can’t believe this has been my fifth year of Thing-a-Day. Time flies when you’re having fun! ;
My mouse decided not to work last night! Aaaargh! Posting my thing from day 28 today from work……hopefully it will be up and running later tonight for the last thing!!!
I don’t really know what this is……kind of a funky water lily scene? Doodled it in sharpie this morning while drinking coffee. Came back later tonight and colored it in with some derwent watercolor pencils. Looking at it now,
So glad its Friday! Looking forward to relaxing this weekend! More fun with the scanner and a few photoshop filters.
Experimental scanning night: I kind of like the way this turned out. Its fun to scan in random items and see what happens! Can’t believe its day 23 already!
Boo! I’m starting to get sick! While listening to some Kraftwerk I started doodling a nautilus shell. Then my husband took over the rest of the drawing, so there’s a guest thing-a-dayer tonight. That’s his smooshed face in the scan.
I don’t know where the day went today. Very short on time! I would have loved to have more time to actually draw for a bit. Saw foolsfolly challenge for today: trace your hands or something with a marker.
This week is going to be a little hectic. I decided to make a big pot of Ratatouille to eat during the week. It was a little tough to get motivated, but once I started, well, there’s something relaxing about
day 19: Beat the winter blues! Today my husband and I went to the Phipps Conservatory here in Pittsburgh. It was so wonderful to stroll through the gardens in the middle of a winter day. A really good mid winter
Where did the day go? It evaporated so quickly!! Here’s a quick little silly doodle. Even if just a quick one, it always feels good to draw!
Well, its actually day 18, but since I haven’t slept yet, I’m counting this as day 17! Went straight from a crazy day at work to an after work bowling party with my co-workers. I haven’t gone bowling in a
Wasn’t feeling too inspired tonight. Drew a silly little doodle in my sketchbook and added the sumi-e brush filter on top in photoshop. Kind of like the random way it turned out.
