Kids had yet another snow day today…. My 11yr old made this charm bracelet using polymer clay, while at “Camp Grandma”.
We had a lot of snow here today. So my thing is going to be the snow path that’s weaving all over our yard like a maze.
Day 1 ~ My youngest daughter and I worked together to make her a bound journal.
Hard to believe it’s the last day of February already. Wrapping up with an updated pic of the desk sculpture. It has certainly “grown” considerably the past few weeks!
Needed to thank a sweet friend for sending me a box of chocolate-dipped strawberries.
My thing for today is a handmade thank you card. Just cut paper and a piece from another card I liked.
After a few failed attempts at creating an opening through the layers of glass, I’ve finally succeeded at my first fused glass pendant.
I’ve always wanted to try fused glass. My family got me one of those beginner microwave kiln sets for my birthday. These are my first two pieces.
Friend of mine shared this recipe, and they were a complete success! Not only did my daughters both enjoy helping to make them… They’re also ridiculously yummy – especially right out of the oven!!
We did so many of these today… This shows just a few. Still get a kick out of watching them bake.
I’m really just the technical assembly assistant but these boxes both took a considerable amount of time over the past few days so I’m just going to count this as a “family thing” for today!
Today’s thing was also a necessary evil… Valentine’s treats for both girls’ classes at school, with enough extras for teachers and other friends. 60 total!!
My 7yr old asked if she could submit something again today even though I’m feeling better. Here are her collages made with foam.
Still a work in progress… A desk sculpture using Starbucks coffee stirrers. Highlighted by the sunshine streaming in today!
