Today I re-stuffed and re-squeaked (is that even a word) Josey’s favorite toy. Life is good.
Today, since it was such a beautiful day, I did maintenance on the stone Labyrinth in my yard. Moving stones back into place, removing sticks, and just walking the labyrinth.
Last night I spent some time taking photographs of my best friends 1 year old.
I primed several canvas’ today. That’s about all I was able to get done in the studio. I did make lasagna, bread, and cupcakes so I count today as a win. :)
I used some of the rust dyed fabric to create a cover for this little vintage notebook.
I have been working on these collages all day and still cannot decide on the final layout.
Had to post this early because little fingers were stealing and eating my props! Got up early to dip them in chocolate so they could be put in lunches and be packed for a surprise at the Monday morning meetings.
Today I created several of these mixed media tags for a project I am working on. Used some of the rust dyed fabric from the other day.
I finally finished the quilting and binding on this UNC Chapel Hill Quilt. It measures 59″ x 70″ and will be put in my Etsy shop.
Today I used some of my hand dyed silk cocoons (without the moth :) ) and glued them into acorn caps I found in my yard. They look great in this bowl on the table.
Day Three: Results of my rust dying. Take rusted metal objects, wrap them in vinegar soaked fabric and let sit (keeping it moist) for a few days. Rinse with baking soda and water.
