Thing A Day: Day 19 Constructing Plywood Box
Here’s the start of my inner plywood skeleton for my box. Once this is done, it will be encased with copper sheets, have a strap attached and be used to carry around comics when I go to ComiCons in Steampunk.

Thing A Day: Day 18 Phase 1 Plywood Box
No photos at the moment. Blueprints coming along. Inner plywood box taking shape. Tomorrow I should be done with that and then will move to the copper sheeting that will cover the plywood.

Thing A Day: Day 16 Working from Blueprints
Plans to build a case to carry comics safely, and in steampunk style, to Conventions. Here’s my blueprints – there’s going to be a 1/4 inch plywood inner support and a copper exterior. I’ve been cutting plywood today.

Thing A Day: Day 13 More etching
Went over the last two coins I had etched with a black patina – slowly bathing in the solution, rinsing and repeating to build up a solid patina. Then I went over the etch to make a reversed silver/black contrast.

Thing A Day: Day 14 Top Secret Super Dark Chocolate Mousse
Made with 72% and 82% Dark Chocolate chocolate bars. Since I whipped the egg whites by hand (really need to invest in some electric gadgetry – GoodWill shopping!) this totally counts as my Thing today!
