TAD Day 22: Button bookmarks
It seems like on the weekends, I have either more time, or less time to work on projects. Today was one of those busy days when I had less time. I am lucky that friends keep giving me the button

A friend on facebook mentioned that the little tree from day 17 needed some gnomes.

TAD Day 11: Felted dryer ball/inadvertant cat toy
I spent the day home sick today, so I knew I needed a project that required little concentration. Wool felting is pretty mindless when you are just making a ball. These are supposed to be a chemical-free alternative to dryer

TAD Day 6: Felt ornament
It seems each year, there is something that looks so much better in person than I can capture in a photograph. I’m actually pretty happy with how this looks, and could see doing more of them. They are about 3

TAD 23: Needle-felted needle case
I like the alternate name for this: A housewife. Now if only it would hem my pants for me!

Day 1 – Nuno felted brooch
The first picture is the “before.” It’s a small piece of nuno felting I made last week. It was rather hastily done and felt is kind of globby. I experimented with beading into the felt.

Day 27, 28 & 29
This is it! The end! I successfully completed my fourth year of Thing-a-Day, this time with a theme. I’m really proud of myself. For the last three days I made this simple trio of flowers. If you’ve enjoyed my work

Day 23- Large Teal Flower
Yet another flower where I just kind of winged it. It will be interesting to see how all these come together in my next flower crown. This one is the largest I’ve made so far, its slightly smaller than my hand.

Day 21- Teal Mum with Pinked Petals
Another experiment with the mums, I used pinking shears on the petals to give them a tapered edge.

Day 20- Green Flower
I don’t know what I would call this flower, it is modeled after a vintage floral print from one of my suitcases. Whatever it is, it’s pretty!

Day 18 & 19- Mums
I know I made a piecaken already over the weekend, but it just didn’t sit right with me to abandon my theme, so I made two felt mums to make up for it.

Day 19 A Bow and a Fresh Face
My wonky girl got her bow today! Used a really long piece of the dress fabric and played with wrapping and tying and such and ta-da! Now she’s fancy. :) Her face faded from all the man-handling putting her together

Day 17- Maroon Blossoms
After how well my first flower crown turned out I’m inspired to make more. So today I was able to whip out three little blossoms.

Day 15- Red Ranunculus
I’m getting quite the collection of flowers! I think I have enough to put together at least one generous flower crown. This one is SUPER simple, just a circle folded in halves and stitched.

Day 11 & 12 – Violets
Drawing on the techniques I’ve been using for all the other flowers this month I improvised these two violets for days 11 &12. Violets happen to be the February flower and stand for faithfulness, humility and chastity.

Day 10- Crocus
A little experimentation led to this less than perfect crocus, but it will be a nice addition to the flower crown it is meant for anyway.

7: lining for flatware box
I bought an old wooden box at the local thirft store for 99 cents on Monday. It looked like a flatware or silverware box, but it was dirty and unlined. I cleaned it up, and lined in in blue felt.
