Day 25- Little Loopy Maroon Mum
(Say that three times fast!) I added a bead to the middle of this little mum for a bit of sparkle. Be blessed.

Day 23- Large Teal Flower
Yet another flower where I just kind of winged it. It will be interesting to see how all these come together in my next flower crown. This one is the largest I’ve made so far, its slightly smaller than my hand.

Another experiment with the mums, I used pinking shears on the petals to give them a tapered edge.

I don’t know what I would call this flower, it is modeled after a vintage floral print from one of my suitcases. Whatever it is, it’s pretty!

I know I made a piecaken already over the weekend, but it just didn’t sit right with me to abandon my theme, so I made two felt mums to make up for it.

I made this little bunting out of paper, bamboo skewers, thread and glue to go atop the piecaken I made on day 18 for my friend’s birthday.

For Day 18, I made a blackberry pie baked inside of a lemon cake for my friend’s birthday. It tasted, AMAZING.

After how well my first flower crown turned out I’m inspired to make more. So today I was able to whip out three little blossoms.

Day 15- Red Ranunculus
I’m getting quite the collection of flowers! I think I have enough to put together at least one generous flower crown. This one is SUPER simple, just a circle folded in halves and stitched.

Day 14 is this beautiful full gardenia in unconventional teal.

Drawing on the techniques I’ve been using for all the other flowers this month I improvised these two violets for days 11 &12. Violets happen to be the February flower and stand for faithfulness, humility and chastity.

A little experimentation led to this less than perfect crocus, but it will be a nice addition to the flower crown it is meant for anyway.

This little mum was deceptively simple. Making these flowers so far has been doable and a lot of fun, I may just have to continue with this theme! (And I’m getting quite a beautiful collection of them!)

I hand stitched this rose together today. I’m making a felt flower every day for the first week to be put together on a flower crown. This one is the prettiest so far!
