I’ve wanted to make lavender shortbread for a while now. These were photographed fresh from the oven and I haven’t had a chance to taste them yet. I’m planning on taking them into work and seeing what my colleagues make of them.
Did you use lavender sugar for these, or add crushed lavender to the mix?
I used lavender sugar, but I don’t think the lavender flavour was very evident. Next time I’ll crush some lavender in as well.
I tried making lavender pancakes once, but the flavor got lost in those too, or it might have been over powered by the sweetness of the syrup. A friend of mine made lavender vodka for a summer get together…an idea for when the raspberry vodka runs out. :)
