Day 29 Palak Panner (Spinach and Indian Cheese Curry)

Today, for my last TAD I decided to make Palak Paneer, my favorite Indian dish that I’ve always wanted to try making but never got around to.

Here are the ingredients I used:

I found the recipe online, but now I cannot find where I got it from…but this right here sounds very close to the recipe i used.

It was pretty easy to put together. I had to get different Indian seasonings and herbs I’m not used to using, but this will be a good excuse to try and make another Indian dish again.

This picture is horrible…it just looks like a green mush, but it was actually delicious! Rob said that it was just like being in a restaurant. I’ll take that as a compliment!   This TAD challenge has been fun! Thanks everyone for being such a force of inspiration for the past month. I really enjoyed your work!! Hope to see you next year!!!

About kabablanket

I work at an academic library by day. It is a pretty sweet arrangement for me, because I go home at 4:30pm everyday and I get to do whatever I want after that. These days I mostly go home and work on my collages or drawings. I'm in process of becoming more disciplined about art., challenging myself to show up to create something everyday. I am a self-taught artist (it's so difficult for me to call myself an artist, but I'm trying). I look down when I'm walking (something I've always done) because I'm always on the look out for something interesting to pick up. Another one of my favorite past time is to go to library book sales and used book stores. I love magazines too. I want to do 1% better every day.

I ate Indian food last night too, but from Desi Chaat House at the end of my block! I’m a lazy girl!

Did you make the naan too? Looks yummy :)

  2. Wow! It would be cheaper in a restaurant! But it looks delicious to me! The paneer cheese and all! You went to a lot of trouble but what a great celebration to end up TAD!!

I love this dish, but have never considered trying to make it. You take after your mom in your culinary adventuresome spirit!
