TAD 11 Plum Blossoms

Today’s menu: plum blossoms.  Spent over an hour practicing branches this morning before I tried to make the blossoms and then attach them.  You have to make the blossoms first, then add the flower parts, the branches, and finally the fungus dots on the branches.  This isn’t how they’re supposed to look.  They’ll get better.

You also have to wait in between various steps for some drying to occur so there’s less bleed – but a little bleed is an advantage when you’re painting in the calyx.
