Andy Warhol Artist Trading Card

Whew. I was exhausted tonight. I think I’m going to re-do these to be more in line with the Van Gogh.

  1. Not bad for exhausted, Brennen.

Hi, will these cards be available to buy somewhere? Great work!

    • I’ve had several people ask that, so I’ll probably have a set printed and for sale. How much would you be willing to pay for a set of 10-15 cards? What about 20-30?

Since there aren’t that many recognizable artists (most of my favorite artists just look like normal folks), I’ll be including architects, designers, musicians and writers as well.

Hi, Brennen. I would look at various aspects like paper and print quality, size, being a limited edition or not, even gift wrapping, but I would probably pay around 50 for a set of printed cards.
    What do you think?

    • $50 for a limited edition sounds nice. I might even do a small kickstarter for it. I’m pretty anal about my materials (I always use archival-quality, acid-free everything), so I’d make sure they were nicely printed on really nice paper.

PS. One of my favorite painters is Edgar Degas, I guess mostly no one would recognize him :)

    • I think Degas is recognizable, especially if he’s helped out by the background. He’s the very picture of a 19th-century bohemian. He made me think of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, whom I’d recognize, even if mentally I still visualize him as José Ferrer from the original 1960s Moulin Rouge.
